Young Explorers Series: From Urban Exploration to Global Frontiers

Speaker: Mr. Kelvin Yuen — Landscape Photographer, Grand Winner of 2020 ILPOTY & 2024 Pano Awards.

Kelvin Yuen is a Hong Kong based landscape photographer, celebrated as the first and only Chinese photographer to have won ‘Photographer of the Year’ awards at both the International Landscape Photographer of the Year and the EPSON International Pano Awards.

Over the past decade, Kelvin has sought out hidden scenery to imbue his photographic perspective. From Hong Kong to far-flung locations such as Patagonia, Everest Base Camp, the Tibetan Plateau in Qinghai, and the vast American West, he captures the planet’s most extraordinary and untouched scenery. His work has been exhibited worldwide and featured on official Hong Kong postage stamps.

In this talk, Kelvin will share his journey through landscapes from Hong Kong’s countryside to the world’s wilderness, the essential preparations for international expeditions, and insights and experiences from photographing in both the Hong Kong Geopark and remote destinations abroad.

袁斯樂Kelvin是一位香港風景攝影師，他是首位亦是目前唯一一位同時在「年度國際風景攝影師大賽」（ILPOTY）與「EPSON國際全景攝影大賽」中榮獲雙項「年度攝影師」殊榮的華人攝影師。

過去十年間，Kelvin持續探索大自然中的隱秘景觀，並融入獨特的攝影視野。從香港山野出發，他的足跡遍及世界偏遠地域——南美巴塔哥尼亞、珠穆朗瑪峰大本營、青海藏區高原，以及美國西部廣袤荒野，用鏡頭記錄地球上最為壯麗且原始的風光。其作品曾在香港及世界多地展出，部分更選用於香港郵票。

在本場講座中，Kelvin 將分享從香港郊野走向世界荒野的心路歷程攝影旅程、遠征旅程的前期準備及香港地質公園/外地遠征拍攝的經驗與心得。
